In marking International Women’s Day 8 th  March 2017, MariatuKargbo Foundation and Global Group of Companies have donated a transformer to the Devil Hole Community. The donation of the transformer has paved the way for residents of that community to enjoy electricity for the very first time and it is also part of Maria’s development initiatives to improve the livelihood of that community. The Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation Madam MariatuKargbo aka Maria pointed out that the people of Devil Hole know the importance of light. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Seawright Mining Company has made another set of donation to a Civil Society Organisation ACODE-SL. The donation which includes Motorbikes, office equipment and cash was presented to ACODE-SL Chairman Claude Sheriff. ACODE-SL Chairman Claude Sheriff explained that they are were faced with several challenges as a local Non-Governmental Organisation through that they wrote to several companies but Seawright Mining Company was the only company that came to their aid. Mr Sheriff said they were challenged with mobility and office equipment among others things. He said they were finding it very difficult to move for one location to another to advocate and speak on behalf of others.
