GENTO SETS ANOTHER DEADLINE FOR JOMO KENYATTA ROAD

A s GENTO GROUP failed to meet the deadline that by the end of April, the Company would have completed the Jomo Kenyatta Road, the Group has given another deadline to complete the tarring of that road. GENTO GROUP earlier stated that they would complete the Jomo Kenyatta/King Harman Road junction by April ending. Giving reasons for not meeting their deadline, GENTO GROUP Director, Mohamed Gento Kamara told the Press that just after they made the declaration to complete the tarring of that road by April ending, the government asked them to construct a foot bridge along New England Ville junction which he said stalled their timetable for two weeks as they need to draw the plan for that foot bridge and also start the construction. He explained that the foot bridge foundation is 16 feet deep. “We started it from the foundation and that reversed us for two weeks,” he said.

LICSSAL Business College Matriculate 300 Students

A bout 300 students were matriculated by LICSSAL Business College. The ceremony which was graced by parents and well-wishers on Friday April 22 nd has been marked as one of best in the history of the college. Students that are pursuing Degree, HND, Diploma and Certificate were in a joyous mood to see themselves in such dress. In her keynote address, guest speaker Mrs Lara Taylor-Pearce Auditor-General, Audit Service Sierra Leone said she was quiet please to be among students. She recalled her Matriculation day at Fourah Bay College. Madam Taylor-Pearce was admonishing students about integrity which she said is the ultimate goal for any successful people. Pointing out that the issue of being truthful and faithful at all-time should always taking in to consideration. She said there are some rules that students should face to the letter.

Anglican Bishop Ordains Deacons And Priests

Wilson JP, CO has ordained four Deacons and eight Priests at a colourful ceremony at the St. Charles Church, Regent Canterbury of West Africa on Sunday 24 th   April 206 . In his address with the theme “Feed my Lambs” John 21:15, Bishop Thomas A.I. Wilson said among other things that they as shepherds must ensure that they do what the Lord has called them to do. As a shepherd, he gave three points which he said should be taken into consideration as they face their people. “In the first place for the shepherd to be effective, he must be able to make the sheep lie in one place. They will lie down when they are free from fear.” He said the sheep need their care, support and concerns. “Their business should be our business if we let them, they will go and they will not go back because they might have a place where such is given to them.
