China Prioritises Major Projects For Sierra Leone

By Ibrahim Joenal Sesay Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone, WANG Xinmin has disclosed to news men that their major projects in Sierra Leone are education, Agriculture, Military Aid Grants to RSLAF, Foreign Service Academy, Fish Harbour and National Fire Backbone phase two. WANG Xinmin was speaking to the press at the embassy premises on Wednesday 27th March 2019. WANG Xinmin said in 2018, more than 1300 Sierra Leoneans went to China for various training programmes with the sponsorship of Chinese government; more than 100 Sierra Leoneans students furthered their study in China through Government Scholarship programme. This year he said, the programme is in process with a growing number of applicants. Limkokwing University Unveils First Architecture Students

The first set of Architecture and the Built Environment Students of Limkokwing University of creative technology in Sierra Leone have been unveiled. The unveiling which took place at the university Gallery took the form of design exhibition which started on the 28th March and ends on Friday the 29th March 2019. Head of Faculty, Okanlawon Abraham Shina explained that the reason why they exhibited such is for the Sierra Leoneans to see what their student have been doing for the past two years. He said the journey was not an easy one as the course itself is not meant for lazy people. He pointed out that Limkokwing University is the first University in Sierra Leone to offer Architecture course. “Sierra Leone is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, a country that is invested in nature, sea views now you can imagine if all these nature have looked it to what it will look like.
