As First Electronic Payment Services Launched…Africell Money Takes Center Stage For WAEC Pin

One of Sierra Leone’s GSM operator, Africell and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) have launched the first Electronic Payment Services. The launching took place at the company’s customer’s care center in Freetown on Friday 20 June. After giving a statistic from the World Economic Forum, Africell’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Joe Abass Bangura pointed out that Africell is pleased to announced the launch of its latest innovation service in partnership with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC); that will allow students to register for examinations and check their results using the Africell money wallet in their phones. He said the innovation step by Africell and WAEC will save students all time and additional costs they use to incur to travel long distances from the provinces or wherever they live to the WAEC offices to purchase the scratch card then Trek their way to Internet Cafes to complete their transactions. Barefoot Women Solar Engineers Association Sierra Leone Konta Line- Koya Chiefdom, Port Loko District has commended the Sierra Leone People’s Party led Government and Hon. GTBank Nets Le 90.1 Billion Profit

G uarantee Trust Bank (GTBank) one of the leading financial institutions in Sierra Leone has announced a profit of Le 90.1 before Tax, Le 63.0 Billion after tax and a gross earnings of Le 184.7 Billion in 2018. This was disclosed on Monday 24th June this year by the Chairman Board of Directors of GTBank Emerson George Taylor-Lewis at the 18th Annual General Meeting of the Bank at Bintumani Hotel in Freetown.
