Providence Students Takes Centre Stage To Celebrate 10th Anniversary
Students of Providence International High
School have expressed to Junior SALONE TIMES what they think about their school
and how they are going to celebrate their school’s 10th year
anniversary.
Kadish Nadia Kamara an Art student of the
secondary school expressed that she is very excited and blessed to be a student
of that great school and celebrating ten years of the school’s anniversary is
worth celebrating. ‘’ I am so grateful and happy because ten years is not ten
days and within this year our school has gone through a lot but to God be the
glory,it has been successful,’she said.
This year’s celebration will be one with a
difference from all other celebrations, we will be seeing ex-students of the
school interacting with us the present and outgoing students, sharing their
successful and inspiring stories with us and our teachers, there will be a
school band in the evening at the school campus for all to merry and we will embrace
it with joy because as the saying goes ‘all work and no play makes jack a dull
boy’. Kadish is really looking forward to the celebration.
Claudette. A. Walker is also a student of the
school, it will be her first ever celebrations in the school. She has heard a
lot about how previous anniversaries have been conducted and she is so excited
to witness this tenth anniversary. It will be a colorful and memorable for
them, she said.
It will be history in the making because this
is the only opportunity we students do have to come out of the classroom and
party as we do have some many examinations conducted at the school. We feel
happy about the whole event that will be coming up to make the tenth
anniversary a memorable one for us all.
Claudette belongs to the scripture union
choir and they will be ministering a song on foundation day, she likes the
administrational system that has been running in the school especially the
disciplinary committee. The event will be one of a kind she concluded.
A science student and a newly elected prefect
of providence international school, Blessing A. Kamara is one of the best
students in SSS1 and she produced the best result in the BECE exam. She is one
of the students the school brags about.
Well for Blessing A. Kamara the whole
anniversary celebration will be one she will never forget because it is this
school that made her popular. She is so excited to grace the events with fellow
students. As a school prefect she
encourages fellow students not to party too much and ignore their books which
she said is just a way to relax their brains and minds from the academic burden.
‘Ten years is a long time and we are blessed as a school to reach such heights
in academics and in other social activities.
Even as humans we all feel happy in celebrating our tenth birthdays so
the same goes for the school, it’s going to be a team celebration because all
clubs in the school will be participating in order to make it fun and enjoyable,
she said.
Abdulai Kamara a final year student spoke with
junior Salone Times and he expressed the same sentiments as his fellow
colleagues in the school. Thumps up to
the proprietor because he has stood up
for what we are benefiting from today and it has brought in a lot of changes
and more successful academics stories are been said about providence international high school.
For him and other students it’s also a
success to them because we will be participating in the events and having fun
as well. There are some schools that have pass ten years but cannot brag off
what providence high has achieved this past ten years.
He has seen a lot of charges in the school
within his time spent because he has been in other schools and can boast now
that he is in a good school. The school
is improving fast and he prays that the commitment and hard work of teachers
and students continue to make name for the school in coming years. It will be his last celebration as a student;
Kamara sees it as a joy and has told his parents that he will make sure he
takes part in all the events so it will serve as a lovely memory and history to
him.
