PFSL Observers First Biennial Thanksgiving


The Pentecostal Fellowship of Sierra Leone (PFSL) last weekend celebrated their first biennial thanksgiving celebration at the New Life Ministries International Church, Miracle centre at Ross road in Freetown.
The celebrations attracted not only Pentecostal pastors but pastors from other denominations throughout the country together with church leaders, church workers, government official and people from all walks of life.
The celebrations kicked off on Saturday 13th April, 2019 with a seminar on the theme, Celebrating the bond of unity. Various powerful men of God led sessions on various topics revolving around the main theme. Bishop Dr. J.S. Laggah opened the session dilating on the growing kingdom of God while Apostle Augustine Kamara spoke on the topic, ‘In the days of His power’. Rev Mathew Lansana expounded on the issue of Repositioning the church for greater Kingdom impact and Bishop Archibald Cole ended up by challenging the participants in understanding the power of unity. Bishop Cole who is also the President of the EPSL called on all to be humble in dealing with each other irrespective of denomination or faith. He said with humility, Christians will be able to collaborate with each other. The PFSL Vice President, Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly also called for unity within the body of Christ. “Unity is true love, respect for one another, integrity and honour,” Bishop Sam-Jolly said. He said that unity must start within the family between husbands and wives, among brothers and sisters, among nephews and nieces. He said unity must not be a competition but a complement.
The highpoint of the celebrations was held on Sunday 14th April, 2019 at the same venue.
The Director of Religious Affairs Francis Kabiarepresented the ministry. He congratulated and pledged government support.
Also in attendance were the Chief Justice and other government dignitaries. The event was climax with a prayer for Sierra Leone and all other denomination. Statement of endorsements and fraternal greetings were also made.
