MUSLIMS SPEAK ABOUT PROPHET MOHAMMAD LEGACIES
Marking the death anniversary of the Holy Prophet Mohammad and Imam Hassan Mujjabah (A.S.) – 2nd Imam’s Martyrdom Muslims in Sierra Leone speak about the Holy Prophet’s success in the world.
The event which took place at the hall of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Freetown brought together scholars and Muslims from various mosques in the country.
The theme was ‘Legacies of the Holy Prophet’ (SAW).
Chief Imam of the Freetown Central Mosque Sheik Ahmed Tejan Sillah said Allah called mankind to obey and worship him.
Noting that the trend of which Islam is now going is like political issues has entered due to selfishness of some Muslims. “Let us follow the principle of the Qur’an.”
He went on to say if Muslims are protecting those in the ghetto then why are they fighting each other in the name of Islam? “Islam is not by sword or because you know how to talk but to save mankind.”
He urged others to forget about sentiment as wisdom surpasses every thing on earth. “It is only wisdom that makes people believe in the Holy Qur’an and God.” He said.
Iranian Cultural Consul Mohammad Sofla while welcoming Muslims in the Cultural Hall said the Holy Qur’an encourages people to search. He described history as a great experience for people to know the importance of Islam. “Only is history that tells us who the Prophet was and how he established the first Islamic government in Madina for ten years.”
He pointed out that the prophetic pharmacy is the pharmacy in the world for social, economical, cultural, political issues one sided, you have to look at Islam and the biography of the Prophet.”
He went on to say Islam is not a one sided religion but that of a compressive model of unity, kindness, brotherhood, love and peace. “Let us stop to be narrow minded. Let us live under the umbrella of the Holy Prophet. All Prophets came with one purpose. Model of hospitality irrespective of any other,” he said.
Amir of the United Council of Imam Sheik Abubakarr Kamara said they had a lot about Islam but its time for people to implement what they have had by solving the problems between Muslims in the society.
He stated that the holy Qur’an and the Prophet teaching in Islam role model for good leadership.
