Africell Gives Over Le 242 Million To Subscribers



Sierra Leone finest GSM operator Africell has presented Le 242,265,000 to lucky winners in the on-going “Africell 3G++ Ramadan Show’’.
Subscribers who were excited about the promotion expressed their appreciation to the company for making it possible for them to feel belonged in the company.
Four subscribers won the star prize50 Million Leones each while other subscribers won different prizes such as phones, Wingle+MB, Mifi+MB, recharge cards and cash.
The presentation of prizes took place yesterday at the Company’s Headquarters in Wilberforce and was witnessed by the press and subscribers.
In his address to subscribers and the press, Africell Chief Corporate Affairs Officers, Joe Abass Bangura said “We are also pleased to announce that Wednesday 29thJune, we had another Star Prize of winner of 50 Million by the name of John Kamara from Dworzack.
The three other winners of 50 Million Leones were Abdulai Sall a 15 years old boy SSS 1 pupil of Benevolent Secondary School, Makeni, Samuel Deen Bangura of 9C Looking Town Kissy with Africell number 030710731 and Ishmael Sesay of 70A Kissy Bye Pass Road Kissy with Africell number 088556916. 
Subscribers and members of the media are reminded of the provisions of the Finance Act 2008 that all Lottery winnings from Le. 500,000 and above are subject to 10% Lottery tax and that such tax will be deducted from all winnings in this category and will bed over to the National Revenue Authority (NRA).
Subscribers are also reminded that the only number authorised to call subscribers regarding the promotion is 077777777.

In her presentation on the promotion description, head of Media Africell Nancy L. Joseph said for one to participate in the show, Africell Subscribers should send blank SMS to so CALL 777 to automatically qualify for the electronic draw for that day. Every blank SMS sent or call made to 777, will incur a charge of 410 Leones but Subscribers will be awarded a bonus credit of the same amount (le.410), which must be utilized before 12:00 midnight on the day of participation.
Non Africell subscribers, she went on can take part by purchasing a new SIM CARD loaded with le 410 talk time and 2 SMS at a cost of le 500 and should be fully registered by the vendor and get a chance on the draw for that particular day and one chance in the grand draw on the 9th July. Subscriber’s chances for winning increases with every blank SMS or call made to 777. All cumulated chances will however lapse at the end of each day of participation.
“A live draw is held from Mondays to Saturdays between 9:00pm and 10:00pm and the show will be broadcast live on AYV TV and AIRADIO with simultaneous broadcasts on all major stations Nationwide.”
Madam Joseph further stated that during the draw, qualifying numbers will be randomly drawn electronically in the studio. On selection of a number, the subscriber’s phone will be dialled and then prompted to choose a number from 1-34; corresponding with 34 boxes displayed on a podium in the studio. The 34 Boxes will provide the option for subscribers to either spin the wheel of fortune or to access the 3G++ Millionaire Corner.
Subscribers spinning the wheel of Fortune can win: Cash ranging from Le. 400,000 to Le. 1,000,000, Mifis loaded with 4,000MB Data, Wingles loaded with 4,000MB Data, 3G++ Itel Phone, 1,000MB and 2,000Mb Data or equivalent in Bonus on net credit. 
“Where a subscriber wins the option to access the 3G++ Millionaire Corner, they will be led to choose from 20 Helmets, one of which has the Star Prize of le. 50,000,000 (Fifty Million Leones) If a subscriber fails to win the star prize, they automatically win a consolation prize of Le. 250,000.”
On the final day of the ‘’Africell 3G++ RAMADAN SHOW’’ she disclosed a raffle draw will be conducted for every subscriber that took part in the promotion and a lucky subscriber will win a 3G++ Super Car.
The Africell 3G++ Ramadan Show promotion was officially launched on Monday 6th June 2016 and will end on 9th July 2016.
