The report states that for the past five years, Ade Manneh has been paying regular visit to his friend who is the younger brother of Chernor and Ibrahim. It was reported that Ade visited his friend at 7 Conteh Drive Tengbeh Town on Thursday 3rd July 2014 and they spent time together and at about 2:pm he left there for his house. According to investigation, Ade received mobile call from Chernor and Ibrahim whom later on informed him that they have lost the sum of Twenty Million Leones (20,000.000). In his response, Ade told them that he was not aware of the money. Consequently, Ade met Ibrahim and Chernor at their resident to clarify the issue and it was at that point in time he was seriously tortured by three OSD personnel who were called by Ibrahim and Chernor. Eye witnesses report indicated that Ade Manneh was seriously beaten with guns; electric iron was stamp on his body while pepper spray was also applied on his body and he was tied and dump in a water drum till the following day. After he had been tortured, the OSD personnel brought him to his 15 Settre Kroo Street on the pretext that they are mandated to search the house. The OSD personnel searched the house of Ade Manner without finding any trace of evidence and he was taken to the Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters (CID) at Pademba road in Freetown. The helpless condition of Ade Manneh prevented officers attached at the CID to obtain statement from him and they called on his mother to take him to the hospital. Apparently, Ade was taken to the Connaught hospital by his mother on the 4th July 2014 and only regained his conscious on last Thursday 10th July 2014 and it was at that point police officers attached at Complaint Discipline and Internal Department (CDIID) obtained statement from him. Meanwhile one of the OSD personnel has been arrested and detained at the Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters (CID) in Freetown.
