At Polio Community School Grafton…Maria Boosts Over 280 School Kids

School children of Mari Primary School, Polio Community (MPSPC) Grafton has benefited from learning materials worth millions of Leones. The donation which took place at the school ground last week by Maria Coordinator Ibrahim Bangura brought lot of joy to the teachers, parents and the children.

Maria Coordinator Ibrahim Bangura said together they can make things happen as it is not only laid on Maria.

“This is how Maria started just like the way you are. One thing she agreed to do is to be patience to learn. We love you all we will never forget but patient to educate yourself, focus on what the teachers are telling you and when you go home play small, rest and study.”

Conveying the message of Maria to the kids, Mr. Bangura said “Maria said she loves you so much and she will always think of you.”

Mr. Bangura called on other partners to come to the children aid as it should not be Maria only.

“We want other people to support us the school has so many things they need. Let the burden didn't lied only and solely on Maria we can get better and stronger economy when there is proper system in place especially educationally. Please it is an appeal to all for assistance to the school,” he called.

Head Teacher of MPSPC madam LamranaJalloh told the children that they loved them and they always want the best for them.

She said what she told them before about the learning materials have come to pass from what they have seen.

She told her audience that the children are doing well as they are going all out to ensure that the children have good education.

She went on to explain that the school always comes with good result in public exams.

She outline some of their challenges such as their incentive as they are working as volunteers and some of the children are coming to school without uniform because their parents cannot afford.

The school whose Motto is “Education is success” have some children that are physically challenged as well as their teachers.  

Chairman Polio Challenge Association (POCA) Grafton Polio Community Simeon Kamara called on other donors to help the children “Who so every want to help vulnerable children let them come to Maria Primary School.”

He thanked Maria on behalf of the community and the teachers for her support to the school.

“Maria was sent by God to this community. We are faced with some kind of disappointment but we thank God for Maria help.”

Mr. Kamara stressed that they are not getting any stripen and the land is available for the construction of the school but they are still looking to Maria and other well-meaning Sierra Leone to come to their aid. 

MariatuKargbo who is one of Sierra Leone finest performing Artist, Entertainer, Musician and Model is based in China. Through her performance over the years, Maria has been doing fund raising event in China to raise money in helping under privilege kids in China and Sierra Leone.

Few months ago Maria donated learning materials to school kids and has being involved in supporting children, women and girls in various sector of the country.
