“Africell 3G++ Matches The Speed Of Polaris Car” –Presidential Spokesman
Presidential
Spokesman, Abdulai Bayraytay has described africell 3G++ as one that matches
with the speed of the Polaris car.
The
Presidential Spokesman made this remarks when he experienced the fastest 3G++
during a VIP ride with africell at Magburaka Road round about in Makeni City.
He went on
to say that he used to see the Polaris Cars on television particularly when he
was in Dubai.
“What I
discovered is that the speed matches with the 3G++. I congratulate africell for
such venture,” he said.
Mr.
Bayraytay pointed out that when President Koroma came with the Fiber Optic, lot
of people said the internet was slow because they don’t know about it that
much.
He said the only way one can know about the
Fiber Optic is when they log in.
“We thank
God africell has explored such opportunity and make us proud. What Africell has
demonstrated publicly has shown that they have the 3G++ and the fastest
internet service.”
He added
that for him to verify that africell
have the fastest internet he called someone from Nigeria where they streamed
live video using africell 3G++ and what they learnt was that it was very fast.
“Africell
has turned their words into action. The President has made it clear that they
will continue to create the enable environment for people to compete,”
Bayraytay explained.
According
to the Government spokesman, the tour of africel Polaris cars showed that it
was not a mistake when President Koroma came with the road network initiative.
He further said that they believe as a country and as a government to continue
to create the enable environment so that when they say they are laying the
infrastructure, people should be able to get cheap internet and cheap access to
voice calls.
“I
believed that if today we are here to
celebrate africell 3G++, it is because government has laid the fiber optic and
the broadband available but again africell has been the first network that has
the fastest internet in the country. We are very proud as a government for such
venture,” he said.
He said
already africell has set the pace and they are very proud of them for such
initiative as that means a lot for them more so when they talk about the
private sector as an engine for growth.
“We are
very proud of africell that all the things we put in place they are working
with us to translate them into reality. We are very proud as a government to
say africell has the fastest 3G++. I am very proud as a government spokesman to
tell the success story of africell,” he stressed.
John S.
Koroma Chairman Bombalie District Council was the first set of guest that took
the VIP ride in Makeni this is what he said;”I am happy to be part of this
historic story, I enjoyed the ride it was an amazing one. I admired the
technology and I see the greatness of africell. It is very good and very
impressive. Keep it up.” Africell Head of Media Relation, Nancy L. Joseph said
africell really appreciated the work of the government because without good
roads such cars should not have passed through those towns and cities. She said
it is because of fine roads they are riding those cars.
The
africell 3G++ VIP ride in Makeni is the first in the provinces, second in the
country after Freetown.
The event
was graced by lots of dignities such as Africell Admin Officer, Abdul Aziz
