TRACE: APC SUPPORTER INTRODUCE TO LOTTERY?

 “There is victory for us
There is victory for us
In the struggles of APC
There is victory for us
For us oh yeah
In the struggle of APC
There is victory”
Hahahahahaha, give me a big clap, hahahahaha. Oh yes folks, this is how we are doing things in this country.  We clap even when things are not nice for us, as long as we survive for the day.
Most of the expectations of the people were dashed more especially the voters. Thing are not going the way they were expecting.  Forget about the Ebola excuses because things were not going on well from the onset.
TRACE has a distance friend around TRACE resident that use to spend time with TRACE talking more about politics. He normally likes to argue on issues that relate to his All People Congress (APC) party.
Gumbays likes APC so much that he can’t stand anybody that want to criticize them. His main source of income is to fetch water for people and they are paying him Le 1,000 for five gallon.
He also carries loads for people at negotiable rate. Gumbays usually stands on top of any situation to talk about the APC when he would have earned lot of money for the day.
After some weeks during this raining season, Gumbays hardly visit TRACE. It was one afternoon TRACE just saw Gumbays climbing the steeps, finding the road leading to TRACE. After some chart, TRACE asked Gumbays why it was so hard for us to see these days.
But from the look of things, TRACE noticed that all is not well with him. TRACE moved forward to ask again what the matter with him. With a cold voice he responded to TRACE.
“You know this is raining season, most of the people I am fetching water for, now enjoy the rain water”
This Gumbays said, has made him to experience financial hardship. He went further to asked for financial assistance, which TRACE did.
After few weeks back, TRACE saw Gumbays by the church reading newspaper, this time TRACE made the move to reach him.
TRACE noticed that Gumbay was reading “We Yone” newspaper the mouthpiece of the APC party.
Funny for TRACE to see Gumbays focused on page 11 of the newspaper. On page 11 of the newspaper it is written “We Yone Newspaper Bingo” with the party sun logo on it and the prize of Le 500,000 to win.
Gumbays was cracking his brain to get the answer to the Bingo Lottery question. TRACE was carefully looking at him. After some time, he looked at TRACE and said if I win this one, I am okay for weeks. TRACE asked Gumbays if this is the new way his party is encouraging them, because they don’t provide jobs for them.
“Yeah, my brother, we are still waiting for the promises. As you can see, this is our party newspaper. I am trying my luck.”
Cold catches TRACE because of the way Gumbays was looking and talking, as it seems as if there is no hope.
TRACE didn’t only stop at Gumbays, the returned of the APC ‘We Yone Newspaper’ came with style by introducing lottery for it party members.
About 95% of the people that are reading that newspaper are members of the APC.  The APC was founded in 1962 by Siaka Stevens. The ideology of the party was social democracy with a centre-left political position. The All People's Congress is one of two major political parties in Sierra Leone, the other being the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP). The party was founded in 1960 by a breakaway group from the Sierra Leone People's Party who vehemently opposed the idea of independence before elections, but instead supported the idea of elections before independence.
The APC governed the country from 1968 to 1992, and became the ruling party again in 2007, after the party presidential candidate Ernest BaiKoroma won the 2007 presidential election.  (Credit Wikipedia)
The newspaper was established in 1960 with the motto: Forward Ever but it seems that few people are moving forward just like the party.
From what TRACE gathered from Gumbays, if the campaign promises don’t work yet, “We Yone” bingo lottery is here to replace that.
APC used to say action pass intention but now the action is very limited, only few people are in real action whiles the masses are in a state of confusion.
The expectation of their party supporters has been dashed. TRACE used to get a wise saying that to whom much is given much is expected. The supporters have given their best but the hierarchy of the party is not giving in return.
Without them, they should not be in power; they laid their lives to see that the party came to power.  The promises are too much for the supporters and the youths but they have not yet materialized. When you ask them they will tell you, it is still on the pipeline. When it will come out of the pipeline and reach them is still a dream.

TRACE wants to see more action this time and the action should be a long time action not short time.
