Nigerian Students Donates To Angola Fire Victims

As a way of  alleviating the stress and burden of Angola fire victims, Nigerian  Association of Students Sierra Leone Zone has donated used clothing and assorted food items to the victims.
The donation which was presented by the President of the Association took place on Monday 12th December, 2016 at the Don Bosco Fambul Home were hundreds of children who suffered from the fire incident are currently taking shelter.

Before presenting the items to the Director of Don Bosco Fambul, Prince Ogar John said among other things that they made such donation to console and to sympathize with the victims.
Ogar John said this is the first donation they have made relating to fire but they have being making other humanitarian donations.
Some of the items donated include 3 bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, bags of salts, cartons of tomatoes and one bail used cloth.
He said Nigerian Association of Students- Sierra Leone Zone is the parental body for Nigerian students in Sierra Leone and all over the world where Nigerians are studying. 


Father George Crisafulli, Director Don Bosco Fambul said the current situation in the home is very challenging.
He thanked the Nigerian Association of Students for such donation and described it as very timely.
He disclosed that they are feeding 300 fire victims that are sheltering at the home and they have 300 children that are originally stayed at the home before the fire incident.

“At the months we are taking from another program to support them. From the 1st of December, 2016, we have over 250 children, 85 mothers and 30 of them are lactating mothers.”

While he was saying they are coping with the situation, Father George Crisafulli stressed about the need for more used cloths to be donated as those are the things the home need.
He went on to say that they are waiting for the government to render their assistance as the victims need help.
“They need to take care of the babies, the need cloths and shelter,” he said
He furthered, “we thanked you very much for your contribution. We are not getting big contribution but the little ones that are coming are very good. It will help to feed the children three times a day. In one way or another, The Lord will recompense you.”
