Over 100 Students Matriculate At LICCSAL Business College

The LICCSAL Business College held its annual matriculation ceremony on Friday 7th of April, 2017 at the college conference hall at Wilberforce in Freetown.
The ceremony was graced by matriculates, students’ representatives, Heads of Departments, Assistant Director of Academic Affairs, Director of Academic Affairs, Registrar, Vice Principal and the Principal. 
Rev. Philip Samuel Babatunde Godwin the registrar of the college gave the welcome address. 
In his address, he gave a background of college and a minute silence was observed in loving memory of the late founder Rev. Victor Warne. 
“Matriculation is the ceremony that explains when students legally enter the institution.  All this while, you all have been visiting students to the institution,’’ he further explained.  
Rev. Godwin told the matriculates that it is a great step in their lives as they have all taken a new step to a higher ladder of success and a new journey in their career.
He also advised the students to be focus and prayed that statements made by speakers will be taken wisely by the students to help develop them in their academia.
Ibrahim Bangura, the Assistance Director of Academic Affairs said that he is delighted to witness another batch of matriculates and welcome all to the great institution.
He said that they have all made a great decision to choose LICCSAL as their college to pursue their different course of studies.   ‘’ Matriculation is a formal process of entering into an institution to acquire the required qualifications’’ he explained.
Bangura added that it’s also a process where students will be taken an oath and signed the matriculation book.  
“You all have to be punctual in class, submission of assignments and a lot of research work will be given to you,” he told the students.
Ibrahim Bangura stressed on the students to take their academic work into consideration as they have embarked on their Educational Journey as all students will expected to write examinations.
He warned against cultism and all other immoral activities in the college because according to him, the institution was founded on Christian principles.
“A collapse of education is a collapse of a nation. A nation without education is a collapsed nation and as their motto that reads Education for productivity”, Bangura added.
The Principal and Proprietress of LICCSAL Business College, Madam Memunatu Warne in her remarks said that all students should take their Educational work very serious and should put all other activities behind. 
She expressed that she is delighted and welcomed the students into the LICCSAL family.
“LICCSAL College believes in productivity, education for empowerment, education for national infrastructure, education for national growth,” Memunatu Warne stated.
She told them that they will be stretched out to bring the best out of them, and they will be challenged to see how stronger they will be.  She urged them to be pray as with God all things are possible and concluded that their services to God and humanity will not go in vain.
