For Lack Of Evidence… Alleged Murderer Might Go-Free

After spending 3 months in custody without any tangible evidence against his case, Magistrate Binneh Kamara might discharge an alleged murderer for lack of evidence on the next adjourned date.

Lamin Sesay alias Omback, was summoned before the court on 2 count charges ranging from conspiracy to murder contrary to section 11 of the offences against the persons act of 1861 and murder contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.

Lamain Sesay was accused of conspiring with other Persons unknown to commit a felony to wit murder between the 4th to 6th June 2015 at Ecowas Street, Lightfoot Boston Street in Freetown.

It was also alleged that the accused person on Saturday 6th June 2015 at the same place in Freetown murdered Saidu Kamara alias Jamica.
The matter was prosecuted by inspector Hawa Bah and police prosecutors had promised to present evidence on 16th May 2017 a day slated for next hearing of the said matter.
