NP Hits Number one position

The Sierra Leone National Petroleum Company (NP) has recently been making waves in the corporate world as it unveiled its new logo.

The new logo was designed to give the company its own image and has letters n and p in small letters and coloured green. The green colour is seen as the symbol of growth with abundance of product replenishing the vegetation that is being destroyed on a daily basis.
The swoosh protruding from the top of the letters np symbolizes the dynamic nature of the business model. The swoosh can also be equated to the boldness of company’s attitude in taking business risks and the swiftness of its decision making process in order to satisfy the needs of its customers.
NP business patrons are already familiar with the company’s green and yellow which are also part of the company’s inheritance. Apart from being popular colours, green and yellow are an attractive combination and easily identifiable and appealing to the eyes. The yellow colour signifies energy which is emitted from the sun, centre of life. It also embodies the company’s strong commitment to its corporate social responsibility to change the lives of people living in communities where it does business. Yellow also means ripeness.
‘As a way of moving beyond Sierra Leone and to also have an international outlook, therefore we change the name to NP(SL) Limited so that wherever we go we can always use the name NP example NP (Liberia) Limited,’ The Corporate Affairs Manager.
‘People would want to ask what does NP mean, NP is just a name like John or Mary but if you like, you can think of it as Nothing but Petrol or better still No Problem. Being with NP there is Nothing but Petroleum and you have No Problem as NP is the first for customer care.
For those of you here today who are not patronizing NP, please, please, please come on board as there would be no Problem with your Petroleum needs.
Our new outlook that you have now seen, speaks volume and confirms that we have indeed come of age and now have to compete locally and internationally with the internationals’ he concluded.
