Gibrila Kargbo Attempted Murder Victim Disappears

Momoh Turay, the man who rescued Gibrila, told this medium that Gibrila did not feel safe and was always afraid since he came to his rescue. He said Gibrila was afraid because his uncle, who took him to Makeni on the pretext of meeting business partners of his late father, Abubakarr Kargbo, has not been arrested by the police as he was expecting; instead, his uncle is allowed to roam free, giving  the chance to make another attempt on his life.
Momoh Turay said Gibrila told him that his uncle, a senior Poro member, wants him dead, a reason he took him upcountry, tricking him to be initiated into the powerful Poro society in Sierra Leone; and had it not been for him, Gibrila would have been dead. He also informed that since his return to Freetown, Gibrila is yet to see his mother, Dora Kamara, and his siblings, an eleven year-old girl and an eight year-old boy, making him more afraid for his life.
Turay said he was expecting the police to treat the attempted murder of Gibrila seriously, but not much was done because the matter had to do with the powerful and dreaded Poro secret society. He said he also suspected that they were not taken seriously because of their political affiliation to the main opposition political party, the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), a party his late father belonged to, adding that the police only issued Gibrila a medical form on October 3, rd. 2016.

He told this medium that he fears for the life of Gibrila who insisted the Poro members would not stop to look for him until they find and kill him.
