Showcasing Art Of Gold Byriri: MAKEUP IS NOT FOR DROPOUTS

Students that successful trained by Art of Gold Byriri have expressed their opinion about makeup course as one that is not meant for drop out but for people that are intellectually capable. This is what they told SALONE TIMES Fashion and Beauty page.

Madam Minyata Grey Wood who is working with one of the government Ministries as one of the heads of department and she said she has always being impressed by good makeup as one of the things that motivated her.
She said that she wanted to learn the art of doing a professional makeup but that normally she believes that learning to do make-ups are for dropped outs.
She explained that she was motivated by two things, firstly to learn the art of beauty and how to enhance it as a lady and secondly to learn the skill that she can always use as a back up to her formal traditional working life.
Juliet Kaikai, a final year law student and also a student at the art of gold institution said she has always loved makeup.
“When I saw the advert on Facebook and also a friend of mine told me about it, we then decided to enroll for this year’s makeup training.”
She said that she has learnt the different techniques they use to do make-ups.
 “Even though most ladies do have the impression of being good make-up artist and go about doing make-up on people faces which is okay but there are lots of things they actually should know about, for examples the kind of skin tone matching foundations etc. Here at Heart of Gold, I have learned all that skill,” the student explained.

She encouraged people to take make-up serious not because they are dropped out.
“Despite your professional career, imagine I am Lawyer in the making and I am also a makeup artist which has added a bonus to my streams of earning,” she added
Bennita Baindu a Medical Doctor also added that not only dropouts can become a makeup artist as long as long as one loves it and are willing to do make up.
Umu Jalloh a student at the Milton Margai College of Education, Science and Technology, said she really loved makeup since she was a child.
At a tender age, she explained that she was so curious to know how people get this flawless and pretty faces, so she decided to Google facts on YouTube and downloaded makeup apps just to find out what are the secrets even thou she still could not get it right but that when she saw the advert on Facebook it actually motivated her to enroll at heart of gold.
Mrs. Fatmata Sesay said she is hair dresser by profession and she loves makeup. As a hair dresser she taught it wisely to attach into make-up to complete the beauty of ladies.
“The experience I have acquired here will last forever because she actually taught us some professional ethics such as, how to coax customers and that really will match up more to my career as a hair dresser,” she said
The students were pleased of the tutoring of Rita Ukhuegbe’s who happens to be the owner of Art of Gold Byriri. Rita Ukhuegbe’s dreams is to empower Sierra Leoneans especially women to be self-reliance in gaining more grounds in the country.
