Over 370 Winners… Africell Gives Over Le. 500 M To Subscribers
Sierra Leone’s biggest GSM operator Africell has
concluded their Ramadan Show with the distribution of case and other prizes
amounting to Le. 542,176,000 (Five hundred and forty two million one hundred and
seventy six thousand Leones) for over 370 winners.
The presentation of prizes took place on Friday at
Africell Head office in Freetown.
In his statement, Africell Chief Corporate Affairs
Officer, Joe AbassBangura said the promotion was officially launched on
Saturday 24th June, 2017.
“This promotion in the true africell style, provide our
subscribers with the opportunity to observe the month of Ramadan, play fun
games and win great prizes in the process.”
He stressed that the Africell Ramadan Show was designed
for subscribers to win over Le. 500,000,000(Five Hundred Million Leones).
Items like: Freezers, Televisions, Generators, ITel 3G++
Phones, Gigabytes of data and minutes of talk time, Cash and a host of other
household items and Star Prizes of Le. 5M, Le 10M, and Le 50M.
“A unique feature this promotion, is that it allowed
subscribers to potentially win two prizes at each attempt; one at the moon segment
and then the Guess prizes or Star Prizes.
Africell he said will continue to protect the proud
tradition of always introducing unrivalled innovative promotions.

Subscribers and members of the Media were reminded of the
provisions of the Finance Act 2008 that all Lottery winnings from Le. 500,000
and above are subject to 10% Lottery tax, which Africell deducted and will pay
over to the National Revenue Authority (NRA).
Administrative Director of Africell Abdul Aziz Gabasi in
his welcome remarks said Africell successful carried out the show and ensured
that customers won all sorts of prizes and participated in the fun games.

your standard of living during the past Ramadan month. We will continue to do
